I am the founder of the Institute of Professional Celebrants (IPC), a training and support organization dedicated to the ideal that life and its many rites of passage should be celebrated and beautifully honored. Celebrancy is all about love. It is the art of creating beautiful rites of passage that acknowledge, celebrate and honor love in all its glory.

I took my first funeral in 1995 and I've been passionate about the rites of passage ever since.

At the end of 2013, I experienced a personal crisis bringing me to a crossroads which compelled me to alter my life's path; both personally and professionally. One result was the creation and founding of the Institute of Professional Celebrants to teach people how to create and deliver truly personalized and meaningful celebrations of love.

As human beings we have celebrated these moments in life throughout history and across all cultures. I fundamentally believe that as professional celebrants we bring joy, comfort and fulfillment to the people we serve.

I have been a professor of entrepreneurship at one of the top business schools in the world and a serial tech entrepreneur. I'm the father of three sons, pilot, award winning lecturer in entrepreneurship and general lover of life.
