Big Dooley has become an audience favorite for his quick wit and perfectly timed improvisation. Dooley has a unique style of energetic, hard hitting comedy that leaves audiences gasping for breath. His talents have taken him all over the country opening for comics such as DL Hughley, TK Kirkland, Smokey Suarez and many more. From Biker Bars, Elks Lounges to VFW Halls, Big Dooley’s comedy appeals across many ages, races, and demographic backgrounds. By drawing inspiration from his real life that people truly relate to, there’s something for everybody in a Big Dooley comedy set.
Over the past 10+ years Big Dooley has left his imprint in comedy performing, at many open mics and showcases to better his craft. To test his skills, Dooley began competing in local competitions, along the way he became a two time finalist in “Trippin to LA” Competition. He went on to get a big break when a local radio station in Flint invited him to compete for a change to open for DL Hughley, which he won. He later earned the attention of a reporter from MLive.com and has since been featured numerous times in publications across the Midwest and many radio stations as well.
Passion for comedy and giving back to the community led Dooley to begin hosting and promoting shows that support the local community. Dooley has helped raise thousands of dollars for Boys and Girls Clubs, African American Negro College Fund and the American Stroke Foundation to name a few. Upon building a steady fan base, Dooley has been featured on several successful national comedy tours with many comics seen across multiple television comedy platforms, including the Funny Fathers of Comedy Tour with BET’s Tony Roney. It’s hard not to notice a rising star, Big Dooley has been in several independent movies, plays and hosted an array of events including the African American Downtown Festival annually in Ann Arbor, MI.
