About Jon 'Saint' Shapiro

Hi I'm Jon Shapiro. My wife Rene and I have an amazing and inspiring story that intertwines mindset, marriage, mental health, fashion, hip-hop, spirituality and cannabis.

Rene and I have been married for 30 years. I met her in NYC when I was a 19 year old rapper by the name of Jon Saint. She was a 21 year old model living in a studio apartment with the actress Kelly Ripa.

Two weeks after meeting Rene and I moved in together. Two years after that we were married.

In 1996 Rene and I opened our first store, the iconic Long Island boutique Beautiful Girl.

In 2008 we envisioned, founded and launched Mixology Clothing Company, the first fast fashion boutique in New York. Over the next ten years we would open 15 stores, launch 10 clothing brands, an e-commerce site and rise to the top of New York retail.

Mental health: I suffered from anxiety and depression my entire life. A unorthodox and tumultuous childhood mixed with an undiagnosed serotonin imbalance lead to many frightening experiences. I used pharmaceuticals and therapy to control the anxiety, but it was always there.

2019: We make the life changing decision to exit Mixology to start a new wellness/cannabis company.

2020: Mindset Wellness CBD is launched to the public. www.MindsetWellnessCBD.com.

2021: Mindset Wellness CBD becomes one of the hottest DTC brands in the space.
